Leeuwin Metals to Begin Maiden Drilling Program at Marda Gold Project in Western Australia; Shares Rise 10%

Leeuwin Metals (ASX:LM1) is set to start a maiden drilling program at the recently acquired Marda gold project in Western Australia in the coming weeks, according to a Tuesday filing with the Australian bourse.

Field programs are ongoing along with a database review to refine high-priority drill targets, per the filing. The mineral explorer intends to drill 10,000 meters at the project within the year.

Leeuwin Metals' shares were up 10% in recent trade.
