Tesla suspended the trial of its smart driving-assistance feature in China until regulatory approvals are finalized, Reuters reported Monday, citing the company's post on social media platform Weibo.

The US-based electric vehicle company said it is advancing relevant processes for the approvals, following complaints that the free trial of the Full Self-Driving service was on hold, the report said.

The company previously planned to launch the limited-time free trials from March 17 to April 16 and is collaborating with tech giant Baidu (HKG:9888) for the system's better performance, the report said.
