0611 GMT - The U.K. and U.S. auto industries need to explore opportunities to work together as part of a mutually beneficial relationship rather than imposing extra tariffs, the U.K. Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders says. President Trump said he would impose 25% tariffs on global automotive imports to the U.S. from April 3. "The industry urges both sides to come together immediately and strike a deal that works for all," the SMMT Chief Executive Mike Hawes says. (ian.walker@wsj.com.)
