路透利雅得3月26日 - 电动汽车制造商特斯拉TSLA.O在其网站上表示，将于下月开始在沙特阿拉伯销售电动汽车。这标志着特斯拉首席执行官马斯克和沙特已经弥合裂痕。
双方恩怨的起因是，马斯克在2018年发布推文称，在与沙特主权财富基金--公共投资基金(PIF)--会面后，他已"获得资金 "将特斯拉私有化。这最终导致投资者在私有化失败后提起诉讼，在此期间，马斯克和PIF负责人Yasir al-Rumayyan之间紧张的短信被公开。自去年秋天马斯克在特朗普的竞选活动和随后的新政府中扮演重要角色以来，紧张关系有所缓和。
特斯拉在其他中东国家销售汽车，但还没有登陆沙特这个海湾地区最大的市场。
特斯拉表示，将于4月10 日在利雅得举行发布会，展示其电动汽车和太阳能驱动产品，“与Cybercab一起体验自动驾驶的未来，并与我们的人形机器人Optimus会面，我们将展示人工智能和机器人技术的未来发展。”
