China Commerce Minister Meets with Apple, Cargill, Qualcomm Chiefs

Chinese Commerce Minister Wang Wentao met with the chief executives of Apple, Cargill, and Qualcomm, according to separate Xinhua News Agency reports.

Wang spoke about the business developments of the three companies with their respective CEOs, the report said.

The commerce minister also asked Apple CEO Tim Cook to expand its China investments and embed itself into the market, according to the report.

During the meetings, Cargill CEO Brian Sikes told Wang the company is committed to providing customers with high-quality products, Xinhua said.

In a meeting with Qualcomm CEO Cristiano Amon, Wang said the semiconductor company's business aligns with China's demand due to the strong momentum of artificial intelligence development and application, Xinhua said.
