Geely Automobile (HKG:0175) plans to integrate three units manufacturing digital cockpit systems into a single unit, Reuters reported Thursday, citing insiders.
The digital cockpit teams from the Geely, Lynk & Co and Zeekr brands have almost 2,000 engineers, but it is not yet sure how many will be affected by the merger, the report said.
Geely told Reuters in a statement that it has no plans for redundancies amid the optimization of its internal resources, which is expected to boost its brands' development and technology, the report said.
Geely's shares slipped less than 2% in recent trade.
