Etsy has tapped the chief technology and product officer of its Depop subsidiary to be its next chief technology officer.
The online crafts marketplace said Thursday that Rafe Colburn will join the C-suite on May 5.
Colburn is returning to Etsy after heading over to Depop when Etsy acquired the second-hand clothing marketplace in 2021. Before that, he led engineering teams at Etsy for nearly 10 years.
Etsy also said that Depop's chief marketing officer, Peter Semple, will take over as interim CEO on May 5. Its current chief, Kruti Patel Goyal, is transitioning to the role of chief growth officer for Etsy.
