New Fortress Energy shares declined after it said it plans to sell its natural gas assets and operations in Jamaica.

The stock fell 11% to $9.86 Thursday morning. Shares have lost 35% of their value this year.

The New York natural-gas company said Thursday it is selling the operations for $1.06 billion to Excelerate Energy.

The sale comprises the LNG import terminal in Montego Bay and an offshore floating storage and regasification terminal in Old Harbour. It also includes a 150-megawatt combined heat and power plant in Clarendon.

New Fortress said it's aiming to streamline operations.
