美国司法部周四表示，已对斯坦福大学和加州大学三所分校的招生政策展开调查。

　　美国司法部在一份新闻稿中说，司法部长帕梅拉·邦迪（Pamela Bondi）指示司法部民权司进行调查，以确保这些学校遵守美国最高法院的一项裁决，即禁止高校在录取学生时存在歧视。

　　除了斯坦福大学，此次调查还将涵盖加州大学伯克利分校、加州大学洛杉矶分校和加州大学欧文分校。

　　自特朗普就任第二任期以来，他的政府一直试图取消政府和私营部门内部的多样性、公平和包容（DEI）项目。他还瞄准了学术机构和大学，发起了数十项调查，并威胁要切断对推广DEI的学校的资助。

　　邦迪在新闻稿中说：“特朗普总统和我致力于在全国范围内结束非法歧视，恢复择优录取的机会。在美国，每个学生都应该根据他们的努力、智力和性格来被评判，而不是他们的肤色。”
