Air New Zealand (ASX:AIZ, NZE:AIR) repurchased 306,097 ordinary shares under an on-market and off-market buyback program, according to a Thursday filing with the New Zealand and Australian bourses.
The company acquired 91,223 ordinary shares on New Zealand's Stock Exchange at an average price of NZ$0.625 per share and 58,765 ordinary shares on the Australian Securities Exchange for an average price of AU$0.5707. It also acquired 156,109 shares from the finance minister for NZ$0.6258 apiece.
The acquired shares will be canceled.
The company's Kiwi and Australian shares fell 1% in recent Friday trade.
