China East Education (HKG:0667) recorded an 88% rise in profit in 2024 to 512.6 million yuan from 272.6 million yuan a year prior, a Thursday filing with the Hong Kong bourse said.
Earnings per share were 0.2346 yuan in the year, up from 0.1237 yuan in 2023.
Revenue for the vocational training educational service provider rose by 3.5% to 4.12 billion yuan in the period from 3.98 billion yuan a year prior.
The higher revenue came about as the firm changed its strategy in new student enrollment by optimizing its course structure and attracting more high-value new student enrollment in the year.
The firm proposed a final dividend of HK$0.22 per ordinary share for the year, payable on or around June 26.
