Genasys (GNSS) won $1 million in new orders for long range acoustic devices for infrastructure security at oil and gas facilities in Australia and Canada and at certain electrical substations of an undisclosed major US utility.
The remotely monitored and activated devices "help safeguard vital electrical transmission and distribution assets" and "will be integrated with existing physical security systems" at the utility substations, Genasys said Thursday in a statement.
Shares of the company rose 3.9% in recent Thursday trading.
