Elementos (ASX:ELT) said that its unit, Minas de Estano de Espana (MESPA), has secured an extension of its investigation permit rights for the Oropesa tin project, according to a Friday filing with the Australian bourse.
Once the company submits its application for a new mining concession and unified environmental authorization, the unit's rights under the permit will remain valid until an administration ruling on the mining license, the filing said.
Shares of the company rose 18% in recent Friday trade.
