美国视频游戏零售商游戏驿站（GameStop）周二宣布，其董事会一致通过了一项用公司现金购买比特币的计划，这是在效仿MicroStrategy（现已改名为Strategy）的做法。

　　消息公布后，该公司股价在周二盘后交易中上涨了逾7%。该声明证实了2月份的媒体报道，即游戏驿站打算将比特币和其他加密货币加入其资产负债表。

　　该公司表示，其部分现金或未来发行的债券和股票可能会投资于比特币和以美元计价的稳定币。截至2月1日，游戏驿站持有近48亿美元现金。该公司还表示，没有为可能购买的比特币数量设定上限。

　　游戏驿站进军加密货币市场，标志着该公司首席执行官瑞恩·科恩（Ryan Cohen）为重振陷入困境的实体业务所做的最新努力。在科恩的领导下，游戏驿站正专注于削减成本和精简运营，以确保业务盈利。

　　该公司表示，此举可能会使其面临与加密货币价格相关的波动。

　　“例如，比特币是一种高度波动的资产，随着时间的推移，它的价格会出现大幅波动。我们的比特币策略尚未经过测试，可能会失败，”游戏驿站在提交给美国证券交易委员会（SEC）的文件中表示。

　　在宣布比特币战略的同时，游戏驿站还公布了第四季度业绩，净利润为1.313亿美元，比上年同期的6310万美元增长了一倍多。
