China Oriental Turns to 2024 Profit

China Oriental Group (HKG:0581) recorded an attributable profit of 149.1 million yuan in 2024, compared with an attributable loss of 159.7 million yuan a year prior, a Thursday filing with the Hong Kong bourse said.

Earnings per share stood at 0.04 yuan in the year, while the firm had incurred a loss per share of 0.04 yuan in 2023.

The iron ore and steel products company's revenue fell by 7.1% to 43 billion yuan in the year from 46.3 billion yuan in 2023.

The firm proposed a final dividend of HK$0.01 per ordinary share and a special dividend of HK$0.05 per ordinary share for the year, payable on or around Aug. 8 to shareholders of record on June 25.
