Investors are cautious amid geopolitical volatilities after President Trump announced 25% duties on imported cars. Zijin Mining Group drops 2.2% and CMOC Group is down 1.25%. Among the tech hardware stocks, Foxconn Industrial Internet falls 1.7% and Luxshare Precision Industry is 0.9% lower. Bank stocks are broadly higher, with Industrial & Commercial Bank of China up 0.3%. The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index is down 0.4% at 3354.54, and the Shenzhen Composite Index and the ChiNext Price Index are each 0.9% lower.(sherry.qin@wsj.com)
