快科技3月28日消息，据报道，百度Apollo近日向武汉大学计算机学院和人工智能学院捐赠8辆第四代自动驾驶车辆，使武汉大学成为国内首个拥有L4级别前装量产自动驾驶车辆的高校。
这批车辆将用于自动驾驶相关的教学与科研工作，师生可通过Apollo开放平台进行系统开发和研究。
配合此次捐赠，百度Apollo同步启动了"星火计划"。该计划将为更多高校和科研机构提供自动驾驶车辆捐赠，并配套完整的自动驾驶套件，支持教育科研机构开展自动驾驶技术研究。
在技术层面，百度Apollo去年发布的Apollo ADFM（Autonomous Driving Foundation Model）大模型已实现重要突破。作为全球首个支持L4级自动驾驶的大模型，ADFM通过大模型技术重构自动驾驶系统，在确保安全性的同时提升泛化能力。实测数据显示，其安全性达到人类驾驶员的10倍以上。
目前，基于ADFM大模型的百度萝卜快跑已成功应对武汉复杂的道路环境，实现了对武汉全域、全时段场景的完整覆盖。这一技术突破为自动驾驶在复杂城市环境中的应用提供了重要参考。
