Solventum (SOLV) said Tuesday it is collaborating with SprintRay to create permanent same-day dental restorations using in-office 3D printing.

Financial details were not disclosed.

The collaboration combines Solventum's dental materials with SprintRay's 3D printing systems to produce crowns, inlays, and onlays directly at dental practices, the company said.

By enabling single-visit procedures, the partnership aims to reduce the need for follow-up appointments, Solventum added.

The company's shares were down by more than 2% in recent Wednesday premarket activity.
