智通财经APP获悉，知情人士表示，美国可能会在几周内对进口铜征收关税，比决定的最后期限早几个月。
今年2月，特朗普指示商务部对潜在的铜关税展开调查，并在270天内提交一份报告。
知情人士说，调查看起来已经只是一种形式，特朗普经常表示他计划征收关税。政府正在迅速进行评估，有可能在270天的最后期限之前得出结论。白宫对此拒绝置评。
特朗普之前威胁要对所有铜进口征收高达25%的关税，此举可能会扰乱全球铜市场。
高盛和花旗分析师预计美国将在年底前对铜征收25%的关税。
全球最大的铜交易商托克集团曾表示，铜价可能从目前的约1万美元升至1.2万美元。
据了解，自今年1月以来，纽铜价格便开始超过伦铜，而特朗普上个月命令美国商务部以国家安全为由对可能的铜关税展开调查后，二者之间的差距达到了创纪录的水平，周一纽铜近月合约和伦铜的差距一度超过每吨1400美元，创下历史新高。
高盛与花旗预计，美国将在年底前对铜加征25%的进口关税。交易商预计在此之前将有大量铜运抵美国。
此外，小摩预测，到2025年，铜需求将持续增长，价格也有望攀升至新高。
