智通财经APP获悉，据报道，激进对冲基金Elliott Investment Management已累计建立对壳牌(SHEL.US)的近11亿美元空头头寸。
根据英国金融行为监管局披露文件显示，Elliott这一占壳牌总股本0.5%的空头仓位，是近九年来针对该公司规模最大的空头头寸。
值得关注的是，Elliott上月刚披露持有壳牌欧洲竞争对手英国石油(BP.US)近5%的股份，并正推动该公司进行业务重组。
虽然建立壳牌空仓属于常规对冲策略——Elliott最近还披露了法国能源生产商道达尔(TTE.US)和西班牙能源公司Repsol(REPYF.US)的空头头寸——但其做空壳牌的规模之大仍引发了市场的高度关注。
