Air New Zealand (ASX:AIZ, NZE:AIR) repurchased 798,283 ordinary shares under an on-market and off-market buyback program, according to a Wednesday filing with the New Zealand and Australian bourses.
The company acquired 235,329 ordinary shares on New Zealand's Stock Exchange at an average price of NZ$0.6309 per share and 155,830 ordinary shares on the Australian Securities Exchange for an average price of AU$0.5748. It also acquired 407,124 shares from the finance minister for NZ$0.6311 apiece.
The acquired shares will be canceled.
