2. University of Indonesia Climbs to 4th in Southeast Asia Rankings

The University of Indonesia (UI) has further improved its standing among universities in Southeast Asia, Asia, and globally, according to the EduRank 2025 rankings. This year, UI is ranked 4th best in Southeast Asia, 70th in Asia, and 460th in the world. This represents an advancement from the previous year, when UI was ranked 6th in Southeast Asia, 88th in Asia, and 531st globally, which itself was an improvement from prior results.

Within Indonesia, EduRank 2025 maintains UI's position as the leading university. This ranking is largely attributed to its strong performance in six key fields of study: Medicine, Computer Science, Psychology, Business, Economics, and Art & Design.

3. Democrat Politician Condemns Police Brutality During TNI Law Protest

Democratic Party politician Hinca Panjaitan condemned the police officers who assaulted protesters against the TNI Law. He stated that the police force should have protected and respected the protest.

"I demand that law enforcement officers who are guarding the protest should respect the procedures that have been established," said Hinca Panjaitan at the Parliament Complex, Central Jakarta, on Monday, March 24, 2025.

However, the member of the House Commission III DPR also urged the demonstrators to maintain order during protests. According to Hinca, conducting a protest has regulations stipulated by law.
