Tianqi Lithium (HKG:9696, SHE:002466) swung to an attributable loss of 8.73 billion yuan in 2024 from as profit of 7.28 billion yuan in 2023, according to a Wednesday filing with the Hong Kong bourse.
The lithium miner swung to a loss per share of 5.32 yuan from earnings per share of 4.44 yuan. Analysts at Visible Alpha estimated loss per share at 3.35 yuan.
Revenue plunged to 13 billion yuan from 40.4 billion yuan in the previous year. Visible Alpha analysts forecast revenue at 12.7 billion yuan.
Shares slipped 1% in Hong Kong and Shenzhen during Thursday's late morning trading.
