UFP Industries (UFPI) said Monday it has acquired a 30-acre site in Buffalo, New York, to build a facility for its Deckorators brand.

The facility, to be located in Lackawanna County, aims to double production capacity for Deckorators' Surestone composite-decking product, which has expanded to 1,500 retail locations, the company said.

The company said it will invest $77 million at the site, which includes a 30-acre campus with around 240,000 square feet of manufacturing and warehousing space. It is part of a five-year, $250 million plan to grow the brand's product line, UFP said.

The facility's construction is slated to begin in April, with operations expected by the end of the year, the company said.
