Fenix Resources (ASX:FEX) has begun construction site works at the company's Beebyn-W11 iron ore mine in Western Australia, according to a Monday filing with the Australian bourse.
A new 17.6-kilometer private haul road is being built to connect Beebyn-W11 to Fenix's existing operations at the Iron Ridge iron ore mine, per the filing. Earthworks and initial clearing of the mine site are set to begin this week, the filing said.
The first production from the mine is expected in the September quarter.
Fenix Resources' shares were up nearly 2% in recent trade.
