Vertical Aerospace (EVTL) said Monday it will adopt the Combined Charging Standard to push for a universal, fast-charging system for electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft, joining BETA Technologies and Archer Aviation.
The firm said the standard enables interoperable charging and will lower costs and accelerate commercial eVTOL deployment. Vertical also said it has purchased two of Beta's chargers for evaluation.
