Schlumberger (SLB) said Monday that it has received a drilling contract from Woodside Energy Group (WDS) for the ultra-deepwater Trion development project offshore Mexico.
The contract covers 18 wells that will be delivered over a three-year period, Schlumberger said.
Schlumberger said the contract covers digital directional drilling services and hardware, logging while drilling, surface logging, cementing, drilling and completions fluids, completions, and wireline services, with services beginning early next year.
Woodside Energy is developing the field in collaboration with Pemex, with first production expected in 2028, Schlumberger said.
