Intel (INTC) shares fell nearly 4% in recent Friday trading, a day after the company said three board members are retiring as it looks to add expertise that aligns with business objectives.

Omar Ishrak, Tsu-Jae King Liu, and Risa Lavizzo-Mourey will retire from the board and will not stand for reelection at the upcoming May 6 annual shareholder meeting, the company said in an annual proxy statement on Thursday.

Intel previously announced the appointments of former ASML (ASML) Chief Executive Eric Meurice and Microchip Technology (MCHP) interim CEO Steve Sanghi as independent directors last year.
