0840 GMT - Poste Italiane's increased stake in Telecom Italia provides it with room to get more value from synergies, Equita says in a research note. The Italian group raised its shareholding in TIM to just 24.8% through the acquisition in cash of shares from France's Vivendi. The deal will allow Poste Italiane to get more value from Poste Mobile, to generate cost synergies, boost the distribution of some product categories and support the completion of TIM's transformation process and market consolidation, analyst Andrea Lisi writes. "The pipeline of events in the coming weeks therefore remains very lively and in our view positive for the stock, which continues to only partially discount these optionalities," he notes. Shares trade at 16.5 euros, 1% lower, in line with the FTSE MIB index. (elena.vardon@wsj.com)
