Ordell Minerals (ASX:ORD) said that reverse circulation drilling at the McNabs East prospect at its Barimaia gold project in Western Australia intersected shallow, high-grade mineralization, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.

Significant intercepts from the drilling campaign included 17 meters at 2.25 grams per tonne grade of gold from 86 meters and 10 meters at 4.24 g/t grade of gold from 44 meters.

It drilled a total of 41 holes for 4,211 meters in March to test the currently defined strike extent of gold mineralization.

It plans to conduct air-core drilling to the east and north of the currently defined mineralization at the McNabs prospect in the June quarter.

Its shares fell 8% in recent trading on Wednesday.
