Sector Update: Financial Stocks Decline Premarket Tuesday

Financial stocks declined premarket Tuesday as the Financial Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLF) fell by 0.2% recently.

The Direxion Daily Financial Bull 3X Shares (FAS) was down 0.6% and its bearish counterpart Direxion Daily Financial Bear 3X Shares (FAZ) was 0.9% higher.

Open Lending (LPRO) shares fell more than 20% after the company reported late Monday a wider Q4 net loss as revenue plunged to a negative during the period.

LPL Financial (LPLA) shares were up 0.9% after it priced a public offering of about 4.7 million common shares at $320 apiece.

KKR (KKR), which is the majority shareholder in Italian fibre optic grid operator FiberCop, is considering a partnership with Italy's Open Fiber, as part of the Italian government's broader plan to create a single broadband network, Reuters reported, citing KKR Partner Alberto Signori. Shares of KKR were down 0.7% premarket.
