0340 GMT - The strong momentum in Xiaomi's core businesses in smartphone, internet of things and internet services will likely be maintained into 2025 to 2026, S&P Global Ratings says. The company's consumer electronics segment performed strongly last year with good volume and a gain in average selling prices, the analysts note, and they expect the momentum to carry into this year. Xiaomi's EV business had a good start and the analysts see an increasing likelihood that Xiaomi will be able to execute its EV plans although it may take several years for the business to hit a critical mass. S&P Global Ratings its rating on Xiaomi and its notes to BBB from BBB- citing its strong outlook. The company can solidify its market position and monetization from its traditional businesses over the next two years, they say. (jiahui.huang@wsj.com; @ivy_jiahuihuang)
