BlockBeats News, April 2nd, according to Decrypt's report, crypto-friendly Republican candidates Jimmy Patronis and Randy Fine won in a special congressional election in Florida on Tuesday night, with the strong support of the cryptocurrency industry's Super Political Action Committee (PAC), allowing the Republican Party to maintain its slim majority in the House.

Fine secured 56.7% of the vote to defeat Democrat Josh Weil in Florida's 6th District, while Patronis won with 57% of the vote against Gay Valimont in Florida's 1st District. Both campaigns were heavily supported by 'Defend American Jobs,' a Republican-focused cryptocurrency PAC affiliated with the broader Fairshake Political Action Network.
