Healthcare provider Ardent Health said Dave Caspers has been appointed its chief operating officer.
Caspers will oversee operations at the company's sites, which include 30 hospitals and 280 sites of care in six states, Ardent said Monday. He will also be responsible for executing strategic growth initiatives and other company actions.
Prior to joining Ardent, Caspers was vice president of omnichannel operations at Walmart Health. He also held leadership positions at Banner Health, and before that led retail healthcare operations for Target Corporation.
He will receive an annual base salary of $700,000.
Also on Monday, the company named Anika Gardenhire as chief digital and transformation officer, Rebecca Kirkham as chief communications and corporate affairs officer, and Reed Smith as chief consumer officer.
