Air New Zealand (NZE:AIR, ASX:AIZ) purchased for cancellation 888,854 ordinary shares, according to a Wednesday filing with the New Zealand and Australian bourses.
The company acquired 297,364 ordinary shares on New Zealand's Stock Exchange at an average price of NZ$0.6271 per share and 138,175 ordinary shares on the Australian Securities Exchange for an average price of AU$0.5675.
It also acquired off-market 453,315 shares from the finance minister for NZ$0.6263 apiece.
