Metaplanet (TYO:3350) purchased 696 Bitcoin for 10.15 billion yen through cash-secured put options, according to a Tuesday filing on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
This increases its total Bitcoin holdings to 4,046, with an average acquisition price of 12.9 million yen per Bitcoin.
For Q1 2025, Metaplanet's Bitcoin Income Generation business reported operating revenue of 770.4 million yen, or 50.26 BTC in premiums. The firm acquired 645.74 BTC through options assignments, strengthening its position in the market.
