Sany Renewable Energy Investing $500 Million in Uzbek Wind Farms

Sany Renewable Energy (SHA:688349) plans to invest up to $500 million in two 500-megawatt wind farms in Uzbekistan's Karakalpakstan region.

The projects were secured through 25-year power purchase agreements, according to a Friday filing with the Shanghai bourse.

The wind turbine maker will establish two local subsidiaries to develop the Kungel Wind Farm 1 and 2 projects.
