Lamb Weston: Customers Still Adding Fries, Despite Fast Food Slump -- Market Talk

1153 ET - Fewer Americans are eating at quick-service restaurants -- but when they do, they make sure to order fries, Lamb Weston assures investors. While slower restaurant traffic is a headwind for the french-fry maker in the coming year, Lamb Weston says the "french fry attachment rate," or the rate at which customers order fries when they do decide to eat out, is strong and remains significantly above pre-pandemic levels. That's good news for the company, which is trying to work its way out of a string of disappointing quarters while analysts sound the alarm on consumer weakness. (owen.tucker-smith@wsj.com)
