KKR Drops Out of Consortium Attempting Gerresheimer Takeover, Bloomberg Says, Citing Sources

--KKR & Co walked away from a consortium which includes Warburg Pincus and is mulling a takeover of German packaging company Gerresheimer, Bloomberg reported late Thursday, citing unnamed sources.

--The sources told Bloomberg that Warburg Pincus is still attempting to strike a deal. They said that deliberations are ongoing but that there was no certainty of a deal being reached, Bloomberg wrote.

--Representatives for KKR and Warburg Pincus declined to comment to Bloomberg. A spokesperson for Gerresheimer, meanwhile, couldn't immediately be reached for comment, the outlet reported.
