Jatcorp (ASX:JAT) subsidiary Sunnya secured a favorable first judgment in legal proceedings against Guangzhou Niurui Trading and Guangzhou Aotea Biological Technology at the Chongqing First Intermediate People's Court in China, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian bourse.
The court stated that Guangzhou Niurui Trading and Guangzhou Aotea Biological Technology engaged in unfair competition by using Sunnya's registered packaging artwork without authorization, misrepresenting and falsely advertising products, and infringing on proprietary packaging and trade dress, the filing said.
The court also affirmed Sunnya's exclusive rights to its packaging and trade dress associated with the Neurio branded products, per the filing.
