1857 ET - Wayfair and other furniture companies shifted sourcing to a variety of Asian countries after President Trump's first term posed steep levies on China, the company's Chief Executive Niraj Shah said on an earnings call in February. "There's sources inside Asia, so places like Cambodia, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines and Vietnam for sure, that have grown as places where folks have factories and where our goods are coming from," Shah told analysts at the time. The stock's fall, down 15% in after-hours trading, suggests its efforts to shift its supply chain could now be in vain as Trump's new tariffs promise some of the biggest levies on several of its now-key suppliers, including Indonesia and Vietnam, with levies of 32% and 46%, respectively.(kelly.cloonan@wsj.com)
