Rivian Automotive topped its guidance for vehicle production and deliveries in the first quarter.
The EV maker said Wednesday that it produced 14,611 vehicles in the first quarter ended March 31 and delivered 8,640 vehicles in the same period.
The output is above the Irvine, Calif., company's guidance for about 14,000 vehicles to be produced and approximately 8,000 vehicles to be delivered during the quarter. In the same quarter a year earlier, the company produced 13,980 vehicles and delivered 13,588 vehicles.
Rivian is sticking by its guidance to deliver about 46,000 to 51,000 vehicles in 2025.
Last year, the company produced 49,476 vehicles and delivered 51,579 vehicles.
