1051 ET - Redfin commissioned a survey of 500 real-estate agents, revealing what is calls the challenges and opportunities facing today's real estate professionals. Only 21.2% would recommend a career as an agent, with 49.8% unlikely to recommend it, citing unpredictable income and client scarcity as drawbacks, though entrepreneurial freedom was a highlight. The affordability crisis tops future concerns, with 64.2% of agents worried, alongside inventory shortages and falling commissions. Following a year of industry upheaval, 51% of agents now hold an unfavorable view of the National Association of Realtors, a significant increase from 19% in 2023, Redfin says. "A substantial percentage (38%) believe the NAR settlement changes have negatively impacted their business, compared to 5.2% who noted a positive impact," Redfin adds. (chris.wack@wsj.com)
