Helens Swings to Loss in 2024 as Revenue Slumps 38%; Hong Kong Shares Jump 5%

Helens (HKG:9869, SGX:HLS) swung to an attributable loss of 78 million yuan in 2024 from a profit of 180.5 million yuan in 2023, according to a Monday filing with the Hong Kong bourse.

The bar operator swung to a loss per share of 0.062 yuan from earnings per share of 0.142 yuan in the previous year.

Revenue declined 38% to 752.2 million yuan from 1.21 billion yuan a year earlier.

The company declared a final dividend of 0.1146 yuan per share, payable May 28 to shareholders on record as of May 21.

Helens' Hong Kong-listed shares rose over 5% in recent trading.
