智通财经APP获悉，钢铁股早盘普跌，截至发稿，找钢集团-W(06676)跌9.82%，报5.14港元；鞍钢股份(00347)跌3.98%，报1.69港元；马鞍山钢铁股份(00323)跌2.7%，报1.8港元；重庆钢铁股份(01053)跌1.14%，报0.87港元。
消息面上，美东时间4月2日，美方宣布对所有贸易伙伴征收对等关税，但把钢铁、铝、铜和黄金排除在对等关税之外。中国金属材料流通协会执行会长兼秘书长陈雷鸣表示，钢铁内需承压，通过出口消化产能成为钢铁行业的重要选择之一；关税壁垒增加虽然对我国钢铁出口产品会有一定影响，但预计影响十分有限。
长江证券指出，今年在供给侧收紧预期下，期货市场由于宏观压力较大，对限产落地的置信度较低；而权益市场基于钢铁基本面+估值+持仓三重底部的安全垫，尝试做左侧博弈。类比 2016 年，持续的上涨行情或依赖市场对限产置信度的提升，需要明确的限产目标、分配限产指标的方式、解决人员安置的手段，和更多政府部门的参与。
