1424 ET - Royal Bank of Canada's investor day last week offered a timely reminder that amid tariff concerns the bank has significant strategic and financial flexibility to navigate an uncertain macroeconomic backdrop, BofA Securities says. It nudges up EPS forecasts for fiscal 2026 to C$14.95 from $14.80 and for 2027 to C$16.70 from C$16.30, to reflect stronger revenue growth and reduced share buybacks. BofA reckons Royal is on track to deliver a high teens return on equity over the next two to four years, given expectations for an eventual reset lower in its CET1 capital levels. It retains a buy call with a C$190 price target; shares are now up 0.5% at C$161.39. (robb.stewart@wsj.com)
