Leeuwin Metals (ASX:LM1) kickstarted its maiden drilling program at its recently acquired Marda Gold project in Western Australia's Goldfields, according to a Wednesday filing with the Australian bourse.
The program is initially planned for 2,000 meters and targets extensions to shallow, high-grade mineralization adjacent to previously mined open pits, per the filing.
The mineral explorer plans to drill 10,000 meters this year.
