Excelerate Energy (EE) said Monday it launched a $150 million underwritten public offering of class A common shares.
Underwriters have a 30-day option to buy up to $22.5 million in additional shares, the company said.
Net proceeds, cash on hand, and about $650 million in expected senior indebtedness will help fund the $1.055 billion pending acquisition of New Fortress Energy's (NFE) Jamaica business, Excelerate added.
Shares of Excelerate Energy were down over 7% in after-hours trading.
