Nvidia $(NVDA)$: Shares in the AI chip maker fell about 2% in premarket trading, as investors pondered how the semiconductor industry might be impacted by tariffs. Other chip stocks, including ARM $(ARM)$ and Micron Technology $(MU)$, also came under pressure.
Meta Platforms $(META)$: Meta's head of artificial-intelligence research said Tuesday she would step down; the company is racing rivals including Microsoft and Amazon to develop cutting-edge AI technology. Shares fell about 1.5%.
Tesla $(TSLA)$: Shares fell more than 5% after the e-vehicle maker's first-quarter deliveries fell more than expected. The stock has been under pressure this year amid a consumer backlash to Elon Musk's political activities, and tariff uncertainty.
Auto stocks: In Germany, shares of automotive supplier Continental (XE:CON) and BMW (XE:BMW) both declined. Ford $(F)$, General Motors $(GM)$ and Jeep maker Stellantis $(STLA)$ edged lower.
Global pharma stocks: Danish Ozempic maker Novo Nordisk (NVO, DK: NOVO.B) fell more than 2%. Also under pressure: France's Sanofi (FR:SAN, SANY) and the U.K.'s GSK (U.K.:GSK, GSK).
Newsmax $(NMAX)$: Shares slid, continuing a rollercoaster first week of trading for the conservative TV outlet.
