Boeing (BA) has settled two lawsuits related to the 2019 crash of Ethiopian Airlines 737 Max, just hours before the cases were set to go on trial in a federal court in Chicago, media outlets reported Monday.

Darcy Belanger and US Army Capt. Antoine Lewis were among 157 people who died in the crash. Their families were represented by attorneys Mark Lindquist and Antonio M. Romanucci, respectively.

The terms of the settlements are confidential, but additional cases for 18 other victims remain pending, with the next trial scheduled for July, the reports added.

Boeing didn't immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.
